The new law that is coming to Ireland is the closest thing to the Orwellian 'crimethink' that has been devised in a Western democracy. Under the guise of fighting 'hate', it creates cases that overturn the presumption of innocence and gives the authorities prosecutorial powers to put STASI to shame.
