The Machiavelli Center, established in 2017 and based in Florence, is a non-profit NGO whose mission is to promote traditional values and policies inspired by them. At a time of great change, we raise conservative demands and make concrete policies out of them.
COMBINING REFLECTION AND PRAXIS: HOW NICCOLÒ MACHIAVELLI SYMBOLIZES OUR MISSION
Emblematic of the scholar who does not confine himself in the proverbial ivory tower but rather puts his expertise at the service of the community: this is Niccolò Machiavelli. Our symbol is the fox and the lion, for the Florentine symbol of the qualities needed by the statesman: strength and intelligence. Virtues needed by today's politician no less than by the Renaissance prince.
"SUADERE ATQUE AGERE": OUR RESEARCH IS DESIGNED TO TURN INTO POLITICAL ACTION
"Persuade and act" is the motto engraved in the Center's logo. Study and analysis are never for their own sake, but rather to make the public more aware and to assist the action of leaders and decision makers. Research and publications are constantly complemented by events, blogs and other forms of dissemination among citizens and policymakers.
