At the end of the Cold War, the widespread expectation was that the Western political, economic and cultural model would establish itself on a global scale. Thirty years later, that prediction has turned out to be completely wrong: the reality before our eyes is that of a multipolar, conflict-ridden world with a sharply downsized West. This is the theme of History of the Post-Western World. What remains of the global age?, the book by Eugenio Capozzi, a member of the Scientific Council of the Machiavelli Center.

Debating about the book will be Alberto BAGNAI (Senator of the League), Dario CARONITI (Full Professor of History of Political Doctrines, University of Messina), Aldo Rocco VITALE (Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum) and the author Eugenio CAPOZZI (Full Professor of Contemporary History, Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples).

The conference will be held in Rome on Friday, March 17, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Sala Matteotti of Palazzo Theodoli-Bianchelli, Chamber of Deputies, at Piazza del Parlamento 19.

Registration is required to attend (click to fill out the form otherwise send us an e-mail) by noon of the day before the conference.
