In the ideal sky of the Philosophers' Republic, it may happen that an imaginary host, subverting all order of space and time, manages to shape the utopia of inviting fifteen greats of thought to a special banquet with the only obligation being to be preceded by one or more recipes, almost a symbolic concentrate of their culinary passion. The result is an intriguing journey around their culinary tastes, encapsulated in the book Dinner invitation with the philosopher by Franco Banchi.

The book will be presented, by the Centro Studi Machiavelli, on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 4:30 p.m., at the Oriana Fallaci Room in Palazzo Medici-Riccardi, Via de' Ginori 8, Florence.

Speaking in addition to the author will be Machiavelli vice-president Andrea Bandelli, Metropolitan City press office chief Michele Brancale and metropolitan councilor Cecilia Cappelletti.

Registration is required to attend (click to fill out the form otherwise send us an e-mail) by noon of the day before the conference.
