Marco Malaguti gave a wide-ranging interview to the Turkish government news agency Anadolu.
Malaguti explained Italy's position toward Islamic immigration, pointing out that there is nothing to fear from Muslim immigrants who abide by our country's laws and that indeed Islam's conservative positions on the issues of gender, LGBT demands and freedom of schooling may find support in those of the current government majority.
Also highlighted was the propagandistic exaggeration with which the left in Italy and Europe attack conservative governments, accusing them of “extremism,” “fascism,” and “Nazism,” extrapolating single episodes-mostly insignificant-to inflate a media bubble.
Finally, Malaguti outlined the measures on NGO ships and for reception centers in Albania aimed at countering illegal immigration into Italy.
